Darfur Genocide

I guess something that has come to my attention this year is the Genocide in Darfur. I haven't heard much about it before, and this is the first year that i am actually learning something about it. From watching the videos in class, i can see that there are a couple different problems including the Sudan Government, the Chinese Government and the militant group. I think that the group that has the most responsibility is the Sudan Government, because they are the main people who are supporting and rejecting the idea that anything of such nature is taking place. Next i think that the militants come next, this is because they are the ones doing the dirty work, they are killing and raping innocent people, i think that some of them do it, because they haven't done anything exciting in their life and this is that new and exciting thing that they can do. Next and last i think China is the culprit, because they were actually funding the government and buying their oil when the United Nations specifically told them not to help with the economic conditions, and they continually bought oil and actually gave them money to support their beliefs. I think that the U.S. was fine to stay back some, but put suggestions in, because there was no importance to the cause if they fixed it. It is just really sad that every decade or so there is some type of massive killing that is completely not necessary.
